The omnipotent presence of a mothballed aircraft carrier, long forgotten since it's heyday of recovering Apollo moon missions, begins to make itself know to three generations of residents in the sleepy island town of Alameda, adrift in the San Francisco bay.

Raylene is a truck driver who accepts an off-the-books assignment with no idea what's inside. She soon learns her mysterious cargo is a threat to the world and becomes the target of various forces aiming to destroy or control the cargo.

The story takes place over a 24 hour period. In the southernmost part of Japan, 20 fishing boats of an unknown nationality suddenly fire upon and occupy parts of the Hateruma archipelago. Members of the Japan Coast Guard are detained. Under the extremely tense situation, the Japanese government sends Aircraft Carrier Ibuki and an escort fleet to the area. Ryota Akitsu is the captain of the Aircraft Carrier Ibuki and Toshiya Niinami is second-in-command. It is now 6:23 am. and Japan faces one day which they never have before.

On a random night of summer 1998, two good friends from a boarding school travel through time to 15 years ahead by pure happenstance. Wandering in the same neighbourhood where they were still growing up, they discover changes in their friends and loved ones - some of which are inevitable. Places which they enjoyed moments ago became remnants of the past while other shops appear to be timeless. In this magical tale which is also a social commentary, the two children seek to understand the world and themselves in 2013 through their innocent minds, and perhaps learn the first lesson on the passage of time.
